I’m currently recruiting for a well-established, privately held General Contractor based in New Hyde Park, NY, with a long-standing reputation across the New York metropolitan area.

The company has been operating for 75+ years and has delivered a diverse portfolio spanning multifamily, commercial, institutional, public works, schools, healthcare, historic rehabilitation and government-funded projects.

They are now looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to their team.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an APM looking to take the next step in their career and gain exposure to large, complex construction projects, working closely with Project Managers, owners, consultants, subcontractors and public agencies.

Ideally, candidates will have experience working on public-sector projects and exposure to agencies such as NYC DDC, or similar government/public works environments.

What we're looking for:

• 2+ years of construction/project management experience
• Experience with a General Contractor preferred
• Exposure to public-sector, institutional or government-funded construction
• Experience working with agencies such as DDC, NYS, municipalities, housing authorities or school districts is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications and project documentation
