Assistant Project ManagerThe Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in planning and coordinating projects, performing administrative duties, and independently managing some project elements. This position requires travel and overnight stays in various locations in our Rivers and Lakes Region.Position: Assistant Project ManagerIndustry: Dredging | MarineLocation: Between Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama and MississippiEmployment Type: Full-time, overnight stays and travel requiredCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity for professional growth and development.Work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.Travel allowances and accommodations provided for overnight stays.Essential Functions (This is not all-inclusive):Upholds the Company's commitment to an injury-free workplace; leads and models safe work practicesFollows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and proceduresWorks safely around machinery; observes and instructs others in proper equipment use; uses/wears all required PPEEnsures team members are provided a safe work environment and are knowledgeable of safe work practices and policiesWorks directly with Project Manager to help implement project goalsAssigns duties to staff to implement project goals, as neededOversees variable aspects of projects and provides direct assistance to ensure timely project executionOverviews project goals and ensures project goals are achievableAssists with procuring materials, subcontractors, and other items necessary for completing project goalsReviews project implementation and gathers data on project executionKeeps track of and reports on project progressWorks in tandem with onsite Project Engineers, Superintendent and Site Management to review production and engineering requirementsLeads in reviewing and submitting RMS compliant items for contractEnsures the project work is being executed according to the contract in placeCoordinates and schedules project weekly meetings and distributes meeting minutesCoordinates, schedules, and holds preparatory, initial and follow up meetings per the contractWorks with the Project Manager on project correspondence, contractual compliance, and monthly invoice preparationAids the Project Manager with Internal Project Status Reporting (PSR) and project folder organizationAssists in site visits, planning and engineering for EstimatingRequirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or other related engineering field2 or more years relevant experience, dredging and/or marine construction a plusProficiency in Excel, Power Point, Microsoft OfficeAbility to meet physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job DescriptionMust be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testingClean MVR and current Driver's LicenseMust be authorized to work in the US, position is not eligible for VISA sponsorshipCandidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered.Encore Dredging Partners, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
