Assistant Project ManagerWe are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the team in Richmond, VA. This role blends project coordination, estimating support, and ownership of smaller commercial projects, making it a strong next step for an APM or Project Engineer ready to grow into a Project Manager role.What You'll Do as the Assistant Project Manager:Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and day-to-day project executionAssist with estimating, takeoffs, bid coordination, and subcontractor outreachManage smaller projects independently from kickoff through closeoutCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, owners, and internal stakeholdersTrack costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentationMaintain accurate project records in ProcoreAttend project meetings and visit job sites as neededHelp ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standardsMust-Haves as the Assistant Project Manager:2-5+ years of commercial construction experience as an APM, Project Engineer, or similarExposure to both project management and estimatingStrong understanding of construction documentation, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordinationAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environmentClear communication and strong organizational skillsSelf-starter mindset and comfort working on a smaller, team-oriented staffNice-to-Haves as the Assistant Project Manager:Experience with a commercial general contractorProcore experienceProject experience in the $500K-$5M rangeBackground with ground-up, renovation, institutional, public-sector, or commercial workInterest in growing into a Project Manager positionBenefits Offered:Performance-based bonus opportunityHealthcare benefitsIRA matchClear path toward Project Manager growthDirect access to leadership and meaningful project ownershipExposure to larger and more complex commercial buildsTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
