Even better.What will you do as an Assistant Project Manager?Our Assistant Project Managers are pivotal players in our Operations team, partnering with Project Managers and field staff to keep projects running smoothly from preconstruction through closeout. You'll support the project team in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and coordination, all while sharpening your leadership skills and learning what it takes to successfully deliver a project from start to finish.In this role, you will:Support the project team in maintaining schedules, tracking milestones, and ensuring smooth communication across all stakeholdersManage material procurement and ensure submittals and fabrication timelines align with project schedulesCollaborate with clients and vendors to develop and maintain procurement and tracking logs for owner-furnished, contractor-installed (OFCI) itemsAssist with QA/QC efforts, including tracking punch list completion and managing commissioning items with urgency and attention to detailParticipate in scope reviews during purchasing to help identify and eliminate gaps or overlaps in work packagesReview project budgets, bids, and change orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goalsSupport project documentation and reporting, including RFIs, meeting minutes, and issue logs, ensuring information is accurate and distributed promptlyPromote jobsite safety by monitoring procedures and coordinating with the Superintendent and Safety team when neededWhat education and experience are required?4 year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar construction-related field.Minimum of 2 years' experience in the built construction world.What skills do we look for?Effective communication with internal and external stakeholdersAdvanced organizational and documentation capabilitiesWorking knowledge of the bidding/budgeting process based on contract documentsIntermediate knowledge of profit components and billing standardsExperience utilizing Procore for scheduling and overall project management, and Sage for estimatingWorking knowledge of building construction components and systems for conceptual budgetsExposure to and general understanding of quantity take-offs, qualification of subcontractor bids, scheduling, general conditions and any project constraints or coordination issuesWhat's included in our Employee-First Benefits package?Skender pays 100% of the premium for health insurance (medical, dental, & vision)Annual deposit into health savings accountRetirement plan with 100% match up to 5% of gross earningsTuition reimbursement for continued learning opportunitiesEmployee referral programWellness incentivesPaid time offParental leave for mothers and fathersFree employee assistance program servicesFree short- & long-term disability insuranceCommunity involvementEEOAt Skender, our values guide our behavior and shape our actions.
