Assistant Project ManagerNAGEL Architects + Engineers has an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team!NAGEL is a growing Architecture and Engineering firm looking for a confident, experienced design professional with a passion for excellence in the design industry. We need your help to become the leading architecture and engineering firm focused on sustainable community-focused building design.Job Summary:The Assistant Project Manager coordinates and manages the project team to ensure the project budget, schedule, and design intent is realized throughout all project phases. Candidates must be highly organized and have excellent written, and verbal communication skills.Essential Job Functions and Leadership Responsibilities:Assist Project Managers in the management and coordination of project activities and communicationsCreate scope of work, fee schedules, and timetables for proposals and contractsProvide regular internal, consultant, and client communications including meeting minutesDevelop proposal requests for external design consultants and make hiring recommendationsMonitor progress throughout entire design and construction processAssist with marketing and sales effortsSupport the coordination and management of projectsResearch information as requiredPerform project administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, estimates, scheduling meetings, etc.Track and report on project progress.Project scheduling, tracking, and reporting.Minimum Qualifications:Experience in project entitlement, relationship development with municipal officials, and presentation to local planning commissions and boardsStrong communication and management skillsUnderstanding of design and construction process and knowledge of building codesExceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work effectively in a team environmentExcellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Project)Additional Preferred Skills:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field or relevant work experiencePossess or have the ability to acquire an architect's licenseKnowledge of design programs such as Autocad, Revit, Bluebeam, Sketchup, and PhotoshopExperience in healthcare, multi-family residential, and retail designNAGEL values a healthy work/life balance and promotes a friendly, laid-back office environment.
