Position Details:

  • Position: Assistant Program Director
  • Location: Brooklyn, NY 11207
  • Pay Rate: $40–$43/hr
  • Job Type: Local Contract
  • Contract: 13 weeks with potential for extension
  • Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM; Friday–Saturday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Sunday & Monday: Off


Role Overview:

The Assistant Program Director will oversee daily operations of two Crisis Respite programs, supervise and support program staff, and ensure quality care, guest safety, and compliance with OMH regulations and agency policies.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising, coaching, and supporting program staff
  • Managing staffing needs, schedules, timesheets, and leave requests
  • Overseeing referrals, authorizations, utilization, and guest length of stay
  • Coordinating with MCOs and referring providers
  • Reviewing documentation, charts, reports, and audits
  • Supporting safety planning, discharge planning, and overall quality of care
  • Managing operational and billing-related reporting
  • Supporting regulatory compliance and audit readiness
  • Providing emergency/on-call coverage and serving as backup to the Crisis Director


Requirements:

  • MSW or related degree
  • Active professional license such as LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
  • Experience in respite, residential, or 24-hour crisis programs
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Teams, Windows, and Outlook
