Position Summary

Assistant Professor of Radiochemistry, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, UNLV. Tenure‑track position expected to teach, conduct research, serve the university and community, and mentor students.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in radiochemistry and related areas.
• Develop a vigorous externally‑funded research program in radiochemistry (e.g., radioanalytical, separations, forensics, radiopharmaceuticals, synthesis, or related fields).
• Engage in service to the university and community.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students through laboratory work and direct supervision.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the undergraduate radiochemistry curriculum.
• Utilize and help maintain the university’s radiochemistry laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Provide scientific and programmatic leadership in research initiatives and build collaborations, networks, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Radiochemistry or a closely related discipline (e.g., Nuclear Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, Forensic Science, Health Physics).
• Proven record of research accomplishments and a strong track record of external funding.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postdoctoral research training or equivalent research/industrial experience.
