Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery

The Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center, including Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital, seeks a full-time faculty member to join the Division of Vascular Surgery. The successful applicant will join eight board-certified academic surgeons in a dynamic practice encompassing both inpatient and outpatient vascular and endovascular care across various UR Medicine sites. Faculty members are actively involved in educating residents, fellows, and medical students while engaging in impactful research. • Join the Division of Vascular Surgery alongside eight board-certified academic surgeons.
• Scope of practice encompasses vascular and endovascular cases including arterial and venous work in both inpatient and outpatient settings across various UR Medicine Sites.
• Supported by advanced practice providers, clinical trials nurses, and a robust QA/PI group.
• An active cardiovascular engineering lab and vascular outcomes research infrastructure is in place.
• Strong Memorial Hospital is a 940-bed, tertiary care referral center serving Rochester and the surrounding Finger Lakes Region of New York State.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care encompassing vascular and endovascular cases including arterial and venous work in both inpatient and outpatient settings across various UR Medicine Sites.
• Train integrated 0+5 vascular surgery residents, fellows, surgery residents, and medical students.

Compensation

• $350,000 - $450,000 base salary range
• Clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable

Qualifications

• M.D./ D.O. Degree or equivalent
• Eligible for a New York State Medical License
• Must meet all credentialing requirements
• Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
• Compliance with University and New York State health requirements
• Candidates must be BE/BC and be eligible for faculty appointment at all academic levels
