Fairfield University, Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies,invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track AssistantProfessor of Nursing faculty position for our Fairfield, CT campus.The Egan School seeks to inspire students to become leaders acrosssocial and healthcare environments who improve health outcomes forall, inclusive of underserved or vulnerable populations. We are particularly interested in educators with expertise infoundational undergraduate nursing courses . The teaching load is12 credits each semester (typically 4 classes) for non-tenure trackfaculty . In addition to teaching, faculty are also expected tocontribute to the profession and advance the scholarship andservice missions of the program, the school, and the university.Faculty members are expected to participate in on-campus events,meetings, committees, and other student- and service-relatedactivities.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing required; doctoral degree in nursing, orenrolled in a doctoral program, preferred. Candidates must hold anactive unencumbered nursing license in Connecticut. Academic ornursing leadership experience commensurate with the mission, goals,and expected program outcomes is expected, as is documentededucation in teaching and learning principles for adult education,including curriculum development and competency-based assessment,as demonstrated through graduate course work, faculty-developmentprograms, or completion or a certificate program in nursingeducation. Candidates must be innovative in curricular developmentand be prepared to incorporate simulation pedagogy intocourses.
