Position Overview
The Department of Psychology and Education at Mount Holyoke College invites applications for a tenure‑track assistant professor position in the area of clinical developmental psychology, beginning July 1, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach 200‑level courses in clinical and developmental psychology.
- Teach advanced 300‑level laboratory and seminar courses in the candidate’s area of specialization.
- Contribute to one of three core courses: Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, or Research Methods.
- Engage undergraduates as research assistants and mentor a diverse student body.
- Develop and maintain an active research program that attracts undergraduate involvement.
Qualifications
- PhD (ABD acceptable) in psychology or a related field.
- Demonstrated record of strong undergraduate teaching.
- Active research program that can engage undergraduate research assistants.
- Experience mentoring students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, and religion.
- Graduate‑level training in clinical practice is preferred.
