Assistant Professor of Cognitive Behavioral Neurology

The Division of Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology. This role involves providing expert care to patients with cognitive disorders within a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic, contributing to research, and educating students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized Department of Neurology committed to collaborative patient care and academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in our multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with a broad range of neurologic and psychiatric conditions
• Generate research consistent with their interests and the mission of the Department
• Educate students, residents and fellows about assessment and treatment of cognitive disorders
• Provide inpatient and outpatient expert care for patients with disorders of cognition
• Participate in the education missions of the Department of Neurology

Compensation

• Compensation: $193,500 - $300,599
• Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries
• Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process

Qualifications

• Experience and expertise in neurodegenerative disorders
• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with a broad range of neurologic and psychiatric conditions
• Commitment to compassionate patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Completed an ACGME accredited adult neurology or psychiatry residency
• BE/BC in adult neurology or psychiatry
• Completed a UCNS accredited Behavioral Neurology or Neuropsychiatry Fellowship
• Must have or be eligible for a New York State medical license
• Pass pre-employment drug testing
• Open to visa sponsorship
