Assistant Professor, Human Factors Psychology (Tenure Track)
Responsibilities
- Conduct high‑quality, programmatic research.
- Seek external research funding.
- Teach undergraduate courses to support the undergraduate psychology curriculum at ODU.
- Teach graduate courses in the Psychology Department.
- Mentor M.S. and Ph.D. students.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Factors or a closely allied program such as Engineering Psychology, Applied Cognition, and Human-Computer Interaction.
- Ph.D. must be conferred no later than July 25, 2027 to be considered for the position.
- Strong potential for developing an independent, funded research program.
- Accomplishments in and/or potential for quality teaching and mentoring at the graduate and undergraduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Research program that complements and expands the current faculty research areas in the department.
Conditions of Employment
