Position Overview
The successful candidate will teach primarily Physical Geography lecture and laboratory courses , with approximately 20% assignments in human/regional geography or geospatial studies . The department seeks individuals with strong capabilities in GIS and GIScience course development.
Candidates will contribute actively to course development, promotion of the Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) in Geography , and student recruitment. Involvement in departmental committees and program-level assessments is expected.

Collaboration opportunities exist with The Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center (BCTC) , particularly in geospatial science and hazards-related courses.

- Experience working with Latinx/Hispanic, African American, Native American, or socioeconomically minoritized student groups
- Expertise in culturally responsive geography instruction
