The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the PerelmanSchool of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seekscandidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenureclinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. orM.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathologycertification is required in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic andClinical Pathology. American Board of Pathology certification oreligibility in Neuropathology is required. Eligibility forlicensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring ofneuropathology fellows, medical residents, medical students,graduate students and postdoctoral or other scientists.

Clinical responsibilities may include surgical and medicalneuropathology, including intraoperative consultations (frozens)and on call duties.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development ofa translational, collaborative research program, preferably onbrain tumors. Faculty on the CE track at the Perelman School ofMedicine are expected to develop and sustain a record of academicproductivity, which includes involvement in collaborative and/orindependent research efforts leading to peer-reviewed publishedworks. Faculty on this track are also expected to demonstrateexcellence in teaching and clinical care.
