Assistant Press Operator – Label ManufacturingWe are currently seeking a motivated Assistant Press Operator to join a growing label manufacturing company in Surgoinsville! This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build valuable manufacturing experience and advance within a company. The selected candidate will train on 1st shift during the training period before transitioning to either 2nd or 3rd shift.

This position is located in a clean, climate-controlled facility and offers excellent potential for growth and advancement.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Press Operator with daily machine operations and production activitiesLoad and unload materials and assist with setting up press equipmentFeed paper, labels, and other materials into the pressMonitor machines during production and report any issues to the Press Operator or supervisorAssist with adjusting machine settings as directedInspect labels and finished products for quality, accuracy, and defectsMeasure and verify products meet customer specificationsKeep the work area clean, organized, and safeRemove finished rolls or materials from the machine and prepare them for the next stage of productionAssist with changing rolls, plates, inks, or other materials as neededFollow production schedules, work instructions, and safety proceduresMaintain accurate production and quality records when requiredPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsPrevious manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience is preferred but not requiredMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentReliable attendance and a strong work ethicAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksAbility to lift and move materials as requiredMust be willing to train on 1st shift before moving to 2nd or 3rd shiftWhat We Offer$16.50–$17.00/hourPaid weeklyTemp-to-hire opportunityClimate-controlled work environmentHands-on trainingOpportunity to learn press operation and advance your manufacturing skillsRoom for growth and advancementOpportunity to move into a Press Operator role with experience and demonstrated performanceIf you're dependable, eager to learn, and looking for a long-term opportunity with a company where you can grow, we want to hear from you!
