Assistant Press Operator 2The primary role of the Pressroom Helper is to aid the Press Operator in the operation of the press to ensure acceptable quality at maximum productivity. The helper will ensure all product specifications are met, ensure paper is loaded, perform preventive maintenance on the press and accurately record production data on job tickets, load slips etc.Duties/Responsibilities:Ensure paper is loaded, and all plates, stock, ink, and proofs for the next job are at the press before previous job is completedEmpty waste ink, chemical containers, and soiled rag containers dailyMonitor pH and conductivity of fountain solution on pressesEnsure skids are properly marked for next operation prior to leaving the pressroomEnsure work produced exceeds quality guidelinesAccurately record production data on job tickets, load slips etc.Work with Press Operator to ensure preventive maintenance is performed each weekBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDUnderstand basic mathDesired Skills and Abilities:Able to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, job tickets, and procedure manualsAble to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram formFour years+ in trade on similar equipmentGraphic arts and/or technical school backgroundPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing – up to 12-hours per shiftAbility to lift or move up to 40 poundsFrequent bending, lifting, and twistingTravel Requirements:0%CJK Group is an Equal Opportunity employer.
