Assistant or Associate Professor of Law, Delaware Law School
Widener University Delaware Law School is currently hiring a full-time tenure-track faculty member for the upcoming academic year.
We welcome applications from candidates with teaching interests in required and bar‑tested courses. We are most in need of candidates interested in teaching Legal Methods/Research and Writing courses, complemented by teaching first‑year or other required or bar‑tested courses.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties:- Teach law school introductory and upper‑level courses.
- Engage in productive research, scholarship, and service.
- Demonstrate academic citizenship at all levels within the university.
- Advise students related to law school and career success.
- Participate in faculty governance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required:- A Juris Doctor degree or its equivalent.
- Demonstrated commitment to legal education.
- Evidence of scholarly potential; positions are not limited by area of research specialization.
- Teaching experience in legal education.
- Published legal scholarship.
- Experience with professional service and practice.
