Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) – Spine Neurosurgery

The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Utah is seeking a fellowship‑trained spine neurosurgeon for a tenure‑track position at the assistant or associate professor level.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical spine neurosurgery care as part of an active academic department.
• Engage in teaching activities for medical trainees and students.
• Conduct research in translational and outcomes research, and publish findings.
• Develop or participate in a community‑based spine practice that serves a broad spectrum of services.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in neurosurgery and fellowship trained in spine neurosurgery.
• Evidence of excellent surgical training and successful research efforts.
• Completed evidence of commitment to academic responsibilities and a community‑based practice.
• Salary and academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
