Maintaining materials for extruders and properly handling all inventories. Independently be able to operate one extrusion line.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists Operator in the operation of blown film extrudersAssists in the set-up of production runs and roll changesPerforms quality checks visually and by using various measurement tools to ensure overall quality per product requirementsMaintains materials for the extrudersCompletes production reporting accuratelyAccurately labels completed rolls and other inventoriesOperates and maintains forklift and material handling equipment safelyExercises good manufacturing practices when using or handling inventoriesOperates core cutting machine and palletizing equipmentMaintains an organized, clean, and safe departmentNotifies Lead or Manager of machine/material related problemsAcquires knowledge and skills of Extruder Operator positionTakes direction well and communicates effectively with others to ensure an efficient and positive work environmentAttends meetings and safety trainings, as requiredAdheres to all company safety rules and guidelinesIs aware of the company quality policy and understands how the job relates to itPerforms other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodationsAbility to utilize basic Microsoft platformsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED equivalent preferredOne year experience in a technically oriented position desiredCompetenciesTime ManagementCollaboration / Team PlayerReading and WritingProblem SolvingAbility to climb several flights of stairs and work at high elevationsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to follow directionsWork safely and efficiently with minimum supervision.Ability to wear personal protective equipment, such as but not limited to, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, glovesAbility to report to work on different shifts for training or production needsAbility to work overtime as required.Ability to communicate effectively with team members and contribute positively to an engaging and positive work environment.Exceptional attendance and work ethicExhibit flexibility, reliability, and a mutual respect for fellow employeesTravel RequirementsNo anticipated travel.#AMB1Diversity and InclusionWe believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
