What You'll Do
- Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing support caregivers.
- Supervise admissions, conduct assessments of patient's needs, and initiate nursing care plans.
- Evaluate and document patient progress.
- Facilitate the planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs, initiatives, and objectives for the unit.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient delivery of health services.
- Serve as a liaison between the manager, caregivers, and other areas within the organization.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services.
- Prepare schedules of work assignments assuring adequate coverage.
- Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes studies, and research initiatives.
- Assist in orienting new caregivers.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Experience:
- 2+ years of recent RN experience required
- Perioperative experience preferred
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be presented upon hire or within the first year of employment
