Position Overview
- Seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager – Operating Room to support daily clinical and operational leadership.
- Partner with the Nurse Manager to oversee a 12-room General Operating Room serving multiple surgical specialties.
- Excellent opportunity for an experienced OR RN looking to advance into nursing management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily OR operations, staffing, and patient flow.
- Lead, coach, and develop OR nursing staff.
- Support scheduling, reporting, and administrative operations.
- Serve as a clinical and operational resource for the surgical team.
- Maintain regulatory, quality, and patient-safety standards.
- Support performance improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Assist the Nurse Manager with departmental leadership and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- BSN required
- Active Maryland RN license required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of RN Operating Room experience
- 1–3 years of OR leadership experience
- Experience as an OR Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, OR Supervisor, or Assistant Nurse Manager preferred.
- Experience in a high-acuity or multispecialty surgical environment preferred.
