Hartford HealthCare is seeking an Assistant Medical Director to lead the general psychiatry inpatient service at The Shores Mental Health in Westport, CT. In this role, you will provide high-quality psychiatric treatment while leading a multidisciplinary team and participating in resident and medical student education. This position offers a collaborative academic environment with dedicated faculty time and a balanced Monday through Friday schedule.

- Primary teaching hospital for Quinnipiac University’s Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine
- 76-bed free-standing inpatient psychiatric service at the Westport location featuring adult, dual diagnosis, and child/adolescent services

Responsibilities
- Provide the highest quality of psychiatric treatment to complex patient population with psychiatric illness, including depression, psychosis, mania, personality disorders and other comorbidities
- Develop leadership skills as the clinical leader for the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Serve as faculty for the new psychiatry residency program with dedicated academic time
- Participate in patient care, resident supervision, and medical student teaching

Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry
- Eligible for unrestricted Connecticut medical licensure and DEA registration
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality inpatient psychiatric care
- Interest in teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and medical students
- Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills
