Assistant Manager - Technical Sales (Pharma - Nutra Ingredients)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead Generation: Find and develop new B2B customers including pharmaceutical and nutraceutical, biopharma manufacturers.


• Key Account Management: Manage key accounts, develop new business opportunities, and drive sales growth through technical expertise in pharmaceutical ingredients.


• Develop strong relationships with procurement heads, and formulation scientists at various customers to understand their requirements and preferences for specific product category.


• Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual regional revenue and volume goals.


• Technical Coordination: Manage product inquiries, sample requests, trial evaluations, and document sharing (COA, regulatory papers) with internal technical teams.


• Market Tracking: Monitor regional competitor pricing, industry updates, and emerging product demands in the Telangana pharmaceutical corridor.


• Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.


• Field Travel: Conduct regular on-site visits to customers Manaufacturing units, corporate offices, and regional plants.


• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the industry.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.MBA (Marketing) preferred


• Experience: Miinimum 7 to 10 years of proven B2B field sales experience dealing with APIs, excipients, specialty chemicals, or raw pharma ingredients. (API/ intermediate and formulation industry for multiple dosages (OSD, Ophthalmic, Liquid orals, Topical/ Dermal, Transdermal, Vaccines and Injectable) etc.


• Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.


• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with regional manufacturing hubs, regulatory compliance, and raw material procurement cycles.
