Assistant Machine OperatorWe are looking for a motivated and reliable Machine Operator Assistant to support the manufacturing operations for a company in Fort Atkinson, WI. This is an excellent potential to hire opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a team environment, and are eager to learn advanced machine operation skills within a fast-paced production setting.Assistant Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing standardsLearn and assist with machine start-up, shut-down, emergency stop (E-Stop), ergonomic practices, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) proceduresRead, understand, and accurately follow electronic and written work ordersPerform production tasks according to standard work instructions and training requirementsInspect finished products using blueprints, measuring tools, and quality standardsIdentify and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or production issues to supervisorsMeet or exceed production and efficiency goals while maintaining quality standardsParticipate in and support 5S workplace organization practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)Complete production tasks according to manufacturing schedules with guidance from team leaders and supervisorsAccurately complete production records, quality documentation, and report dataUtilize the ERP system to log into assigned work centers, start and stop production orders, record acceptable and scrap quantitiesReport maintenance concerns and equipment issues promptlySupport other departments and work areas as production needs changeParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivityMaintain excellent attendance and flexibility, including overtime when requiredConsistently demonstrate safe work habits and a positive team-oriented attitudeAssistant Machine Operator Requirements:Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience is preferredAbility to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standardsStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safetyDependable with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance recordAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with employees at all levelsWillingness to learn new equipment, processes, and production techniquesAbility to stand and work on your feet for 8-10 hour shiftsFrequent reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, and pullingAbility to frequently lift and move up to 30 poundsAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsComfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and varying production demandsQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
