The Meeting Spot, a premium casual restaurant located in the heart of Los Angeles, is looking for an **Assistant Kitchen Manager** to join our leadership team. This role supports the Kitchen Manager and Executive Chef in overseeing daily back-of-house operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency in all kitchen functions.
### **Responsibilities**
* Assist in managing and leading the BOH team, including line cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers.
* Maintain and enforce food safety and sanitation standards.
* Support scheduling, training, and team development.
* Monitor prep levels, inventory, and ordering to control food cost and minimize waste.
* Uphold recipe standards, plating guidelines, and portion control.
* Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
* Step in during service to expedite, cook, or support the line as needed.
* Collaborate with FOH leadership to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
### **Qualifications**
* Minimum 2 years of kitchen leadership experience (Sous Chef, Lead Cook, or similar).
* Strong knowledge of BOH operations, food safety, and kitchen systems.
* Ability to manage, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* ServSafe certification (preferred but not required).
