Assistant General ManagerVillagio Hospitality Group is growing! We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant General Manager to join our award-winning team at Trattoria Villagio. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall restaurant's success through financial, operational, and development goals and focuses on strategy and driving standards of excellence as well as consistent business growth. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the development and growth of all Key Hourly and Team Members and is a Brand Ambassador.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for physical count of inventory twice in period, Mid-month and EOM and reconciling that informationCollaborates with Sales Director on in-house eventsWorks directly with Sales Director to build sales and be a good community neighborOrchestrates grassroots and charity events, onsite and offsiteEnsures guest satisfaction through executionEnsures collaboration between kitchen and front of the houseAdheres to all standards, policies and proceduresRepresents Villagio Group's Values and BeliefsConducts FOH interviewsStrategically navigates through ambiguity, challenges, and conflicts that occur in the restaurantFacilitates training, oversees all FOH and BOH trainingEnsures hourly team members comply with company standards and policies, and VHG experienceMaintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needsResponsible for proper roll out of new menu items and seasonal menusProper forecasting of sales, PMixes, and laborResponsible for reviewing department schedules before final postingResponsible for creating hourly schedules to be emailed to General Manager for approvalResponsible for ensuring all local and state health department codes are adhered toResponsible for attending weekly manager meetings and ensuring that information gets to hourly team membersResponsible for ensuring payroll information is current and accurateDelivers excellent guest experiences and encourages the same from other employeesFollows up with customers and responds to guest reviews in a timely mannerResponds to and handles Guest problems and complaintsEnsures hourly employees are well trained and certified to represent Trattoria VillagioResponsible for actively pursuing and bringing new businessSales goals will be provided and expected to meet and exceed goalsResponsible all areas of the Profit and Loss Statement meet and exceed budgetRequirements:Effective in providing exceptional guest experiencesEffective communicator and team developerInnovative and creative while being detail oriented and organizedAble to handle high volumeMust be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problemsAbility to determine applicability of experience and qualifications of job applicantsAbility to exercise good judgement in making decisionsMaintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standardsEducation/Training/Experience:High School diploma or GED required2-4 Years experience in high volume restaurants experience requiredPreferred certification include ServSafe and state/local licensing requirementsKnowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards, and all procedures and protocols to comply with HACCP standardsPhysical Demands:Ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied scheduleWork with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when neededBenefits We Offer:Competitive pay based on experience401(k) with employer matchingHealth, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid time off and employee discountsTuition ReimbursementA collaborative and supportive work environment with room for professional growth.Villagio Hospitality Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
