A global technology services company with a growing, high-performing legal function is looking for an Assistant General Counsel to take ownership of technology and vendor contracting across the organization. This person will be the go-to lawyer for negotiating cloud, data, SaaS, software licensing, and other technology agreements company-wide.
Responsibilities
- Drive negotiations on technology and vendor agreements across multiple parts of the business
- Build out and run a consistent, enterprise-wide approach to vendor contracting, with particular focus on cloud and data deals
- Help business partners think through the downstream implications of contract terms, not just the immediate deal

- Hold firm on positions when needed — with internal stakeholders and with the other side of the table
- Partner effectively with other members of the legal team on overlapping matters
- Handle sophisticated commercial agreements (software licenses, MSAs, and similar) with a high level of precision and attention to detail
Qualifications
- JD from a top law school
- 6+ years of experience, ideally split between an AmLaw 100 firm and in-house work focused on corporate, technology, SaaS, and licensing matters
- Comfortable prioritizing under pressure in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communicator, able to translate technical/legal complexity for senior business leaders
- Works well independently with minimal oversight
- Solid project management and organizational instincts
- Self-starter who takes ownership and moves quickly
