Standing Tide Crew Management is seeking a qualified Assistant Engineer to serve aboard the 208-foot U.S.-flag multipurpose vessel MV Raven. This position is ideal for a safety-focused engineering professional with strong experience managing vessel machinery, supervising engine room operations, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Chief Engineer (Limited) or Assistant Engineer (Limited) with DDE (1,000–4,000 HP) endorsements appropriate for ocean service.
• OR DDE (1,000–Unlimited) endorsement
• Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
• Valid U.S. Passport
• Corresponding STCW ratings required
• Ability to meet all pre-employment screening requirements
• Strong mechanical aptitude, leadership ability, and commitment to safe vessel operations

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee engine room operations and stand engineering watches in accordance with company procedures, SMS, and USCG regulations
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot main propulsion systems, generators, auxiliary machinery, and critical vessel equipment
• Lead preventative and corrective maintenance programs to ensure vessel reliability and compliance
• Maintain accurate engineering logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
• Support the Master with vessel operations, safety management, and regulatory inspections
• Participate in drills, inspections, mobilizations, and voyage preparation
• Coordinate with deck crew and shoreside personnel to support offshore operations and mission requirements
