You'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our facility, reporting to the Electrical Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of large-scale data centers, including state-of-the-art electrical distribution systems, static UPS, emergency standby generation, fire alarm/suppression, and security infrastructures. In addition, the successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of building monitoring systems that assist in the operation and management of the electrical distribution infrastructure.The Assistant Electrical Manager shall schedule, coordinate and participate in all significant planned and emergency maintenance for the facility.
The Assistant Electrical Manager shall ensure that these activities are executed in a controlled and proven method that ensures the uninterrupted integrity of the critical loads supported by these systems. Your skills and expertise will be fully utilized as you work collaboratively with our team to ensure the smooth running of our operations.Developing operating and maintenance strategies to ensure continuous availability of all critical systemsDeveloping and updating preventative and predictive maintenance programs for critical equipmentDeveloping procedures and maintenance checklists within the site's CMMS platformProviding effective oversight of the site's contract staff training contentCoordinating and inspecting services performed by outsourced vendorsManaging costs and budgets associated with the electrical infrastructure and associated operationsMaintaining an environment where diligence in policies and proven processes are quintessentialEnsuring best practices and standards are adopted and enforcedIdentifying and pursuing opportunities for innovationEstablishing and cultivating relationships with key contacts internally and externallyCollaborating with design and development teams to ensure the best possible electrical solutions are incorporated in our facilitiesExpertise in reading design Microsoft Office suite applications, preferably Microsoft Excel, Project, Visio or AutoCadProven written communication skills and technical writing skillsComplex problem-solving using analysis, and technical and organizational expertiseIdentify industry trends and articulate implications that will have an impact on the Data Center operationsIdentifies opportunities to increase efficiencyExtended hours may be significant at timesAbility and willingness to respond to emails after hours in the event of an emergencyThree (3) years of professional experience in operations and maintenance in a high-reliability Data Center environmentElectrical Engineering Technology Degree or equivalentCloudHQ's people and culture are the most enriching aspects that make us a great place to work.
