Assistant Director of Nursing – Morristown, NJ

Salary Range: 114K-145K (Flexible)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing the nursing department to maintain quality standards of care.
• Consult with medical staff, department heads, and administrators regarding nursing services.
• Provide input into the interpretation of nursing philosophy and help establish departmental goals and objectives.
• Assist in regulatory compliance and facilitate effective communication among nursing staff.
• Promote positive employee relations, strong customer‑service ethic, and ongoing staff education and training.
• Act as acting director in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
• Ensure the integrity of educational programs offered within the facility.
• Lead staff development and mentor employees toward leadership positions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of long‑term or acute health‑care experience preferred.
• At least two years of nursing supervisory experience required.
• Travel for regional or corporate meetings and marketing duties as required.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
