Assistant Director, Aquatic Center Events and Programs

This position supports the Aquatics Center staff, assisting with functional and administrative responsibilities for programs and events held within the Aquatics Center.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Meet Director for all Mako Swim Program meets and assist all other Meet Directors for all aquatic special events.
  • Direct the Event Technician staff (7-10 students), including training, supervision, hiring, recruitment, discipline, and scheduling.
  • Assist the Director with development, recommendation, and management of the aquatic budget.
  • Prepare and present all aquatic event SOPs, event evaluations, maintain roster of all eternal groups, facility use agreements, certificates of insurance, and all event financial summaries; includes all internal and external rental groups in the Aquatics Center.
  • Prepare billing monthly for rental groups in the Aquatics Center.
  • Provide administrative support for the Mako Swim Program.
  • Work with rental groups to develop event protocol and compliance with event rules.
  • Troubleshoot timing system issues during swim meets.
  • Maintain an office environment; no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Have or complete 1st aid/CPR within 30 days of employment.
  • Complete required certification courses within 1 year of employment when necessary.
  • 1+ years experience in an aquatic setting.
