Assistant Design Manager in Oxfordshire

ASSISTANT DESIGN MANAGER REQUIRED ON PERMANENT BASIS IN OXFORD FOR A MAIN CONTRACTOR

I am assisting my client with an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Design Manager to join a leading main contractor. The business undertakes projects in various sectors including Commercial, Education and Defence with values ranging between £10m and £50m.

As Assistant Design Manager you will be responsible for managing projects to ensure their safe completion, in accordance with programme, specification, and budget.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Package

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee design processes during pre-construction and, when necessary, construction phases. Analyse and interpret Employer's Requirements documents. Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive Contractor's Proposals.
nCoordinate and supervise external design consultants
nImplement innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
nEnsure timely delivery of design information and resolve issues within strict deadlines.
nParticipate in tender launches, adjudications, and project initiation meetings as neededIdeal Candidate Profile - We're seeking a Assistant Design Manager with:

Proven experience in managing complex, high-value design projects from a main contractor's perspective.
nStrong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, schedule, and manage multiple workloads effectively.
nIn-depth knowledge of Building Regulations and Planning Permission processes.
nA keen sense of commercial awareness.
nFamiliarity with various client procurement methods.
nPreferably, experience with on-site operations and contract procedures.
