Location : SAN ANTONIO, TX
Compensation: $130k-$145k + 24% target bonus (potential for higher performance payout)

Key Responsibilities of the ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
Lead all aspects of month-end close, driving improvements in process, timelines, and accuracy
Own balance sheet reconciliation and financial controls, ensuring confidence in reported numbers
Serve as the primary accounting resource at Pearl; provide in-depth analysis and process support to operations teams
Partner cross-functionally to support audits, compliance initiatives, and organizational reporting demands
Communicate the story behind financial results, connecting data to business impact for leadership
Must-Have Skills/Experience of the ASSISTANT CONTROLLER (Required)
Active CPA credential with demonstrated command of accounting fundamentals
Public accounting background, ideally Big Four / Large Regional firm, or significant audit/controls experience
Real Estate, Private Equity, Construction, Development, or similar industry experience
Hands-on leadership driving process improvements in month-end close, reconciliations, and controls
