Assistant Controller — FinTech

What You’ll Own
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Help oversee general ledger activity and day-to-day accounting operations
- Strengthen internal controls, policies, and compliance processes
- Partner with auditors and support audit readiness
- Analyze balance sheet activity and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve reporting and workflows
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
- Support cash reporting, budgeting, and ad hoc analysis
- Mentor accounting staff and help elevate the team
What Makes You a Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Background in FinTech, financial services, technology, or other fast-paced growth companies
- Strong understanding of close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit support
- ERP experience and advanced Excel skills
- CPA or CPA track preferred
- Sharp analytical skills and a hands-on mindset
