A premier boutique hedge fund is seeking an Assistant Controller to join its collaborative and growing team. This role offers broad exposure to a closed-end credit hedge fund with responsibilities spanning financial reporting, NAV and waterfall calculations, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will bring 6 - 10 years of fund accounting experience from a private equity firm or hedge fund, fund administration firm, or public accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee fund accounting and NAV calculations including review of administrator records and investor allocations
- Support financial reporting, audits, and regulatory deliverables
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers across accounting, valuation, operations, and legal
- Drive process improvements and workflow enhancements across the team
Qualifications:
- 6 - 10 years of fund accounting experience from a private equity firm or hedge fund, fund administration firm, or public accounting
- Strong understanding of NAV and waterfall calculations
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, hard-working, and organized
