Assistant Controller
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 (depending on experience)
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected Indianapolis employer seeking an Assistant Controller. This role supports the Controller in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance while managing staff and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
