We’re hiring a Assistant Commercial Property Manager to join a leading So-Cal real estate development and investment company
Duration: Mat Leave Coverage – Approx. 3 months | June 22nd start
Hourly Range: $45-50 an hour
Hours: 8-5, Mon-Fri
Position Summary
The Assistant Commercial Property Manager will support the operations and management of a multi-site commercial property portfolio throughout Southern California. This role assists with tenant relations, property operations, vendor coordination, maintenance oversight, budgeting support, lease administration, and project coordination while helping ensure properties are maintained to high operational and safety standards. Minor travel to company properties may be required (DTLA and Torrance).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations for industrial and office properties across multiple locations
- Support tenant relationships and help ensure timely resolution of tenant requests and issues
- Coordinate building maintenance, repairs, vendor services, tenant improvements, and property projects
- Assist with vendor bidding, contract administration, insurance compliance, and project tracking
- Conduct regular property inspections and help ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Partner with accounting on budgeting support, CAM reconciliations, billing, reporting, and collections
- Maintain lease administration, tenant documentation, and property records within Yardi
- Provide regular property updates and assist in addressing operational challenges or emergencies
- Support senior property management staff with administrative and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE: Commercial Property management experience. 5+ years of experience, supporting multi-site portfolios
- Experience with industrial and office properties preferred
- Working knowledge of property operations, budgeting, lease administration, and vendor coordination
- Proficiency with Yardi and Microsoft Office required
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong tenant and vendor relationships
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; CA real estate license is a plus
- Valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Cell phone usage and mileage will be reimbursed.
