Assistant Clinical Director

The Department of Counseling and Educational Development in the School of Education at UNC Greensboro seeks a part‑time, 12‑month master’s‑level counselor to serve as Assistant Director for the Nicholas A. Vacc Counseling and Consulting Clinic (Vacc).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support within the Vacc Clinic, including consultation and supervision to counseling students.
• Lead special projects that support student training, such as program development and policy refinement.
• Coordinate record keeping and ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Provide on‑call crisis consultation during the day and/or evening hours.
• Develop and manage clinic marketing and outreach, including social media and community referral sources.
• Manage technology for telehealth, video recording, and electronic systems.
• Assist in updating and training on clinic policies, procedures, and licensure requirements.
• Maintain and manage certification programs for campus and national community.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling from a CACREP accredited program.
• Two or more years of direct counseling experience.
• Eligibility to receive state licensure (LCMHC).

Preferred Qualifications

• State licensure (LCMHC) preferred, but not required upon application.
• Experience in counseling organization operations, including supervision of trainees or early‑career counselors.
• Experience in crisis assessment and intervention, safety protocols, and documentation.
