Responsibilities
- Develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Mentor graduate students.
- Contribute to departmental, college, university, and professional service.
Required Experience
For Associate Professor rank: At least 7 years of prior academic experience with a strong record of research productivity, including publications in top‑tier journals and successful grantmanship.
Required Education
Earned doctorate in Nutrition or a related discipline with an emphasis on human health.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Evidence of research productivity in areas such as chronic disease prevention/treatment, lifecycle nutrition, international nutrition, community nutrition, informatics, public health, or sports nutrition.
- Experience teaching nutrition‑related courses at the college level.
- Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
- Experience working with accredited programs in nutrition and dietetics.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in diverse instructional methods.
- Excellent organizational and technological skills.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated expertise in instructional technology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Flexible Schedule
University Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 5:15pm
