Cizik School of Nursing invites applications for full-time non-tenure-track positions in the specialty areas of maternal/pediatrics, obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatric/mental health, acute/critical care, adult/gerontology, family health, community health nursing, medical-surgical, oncology, women's health, nursing informatics, and nursing leadership/administration.

Position Key Accountabilities
- Teaches and actively maintains research productivity (tenure track)
- Teaches and maintains a relevant area of scholarship (non-tenure track).
- Ensures didactic coursework (online and classroom as appropriate)
- Supervises students at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.
- Provides direct patient care activities through clinical practice opportunities with affiliated hospitals and other healthcare organizations.
Other scholarly/institutional service responsibilities will be determined in coordination with the Department Chair.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field (Ph.D., DrPH).
- Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas.
- Strong clinical background (non-tenure track).
- Funded program of scientific research or shows a strong potential for developing one.
Preferred
- MSN or related discipline.
- Funded post-doctoral fellowship or history of federal funding as a principal investigator.
- Three years of experience as a nurse educator or nurse practitioner in a clinical and/or educational setting (non-tenure track).
Certification
- Depending upon the specialty area (e.g., CRNA, NP-C).
