Job Duties:

The Computer Science Department at the University of WisconsinOshkosh seeks applicants for a tenure-track Computer Scienceposition beginning in Spring or Fall 2027. Ph.D. in ComputerScience or a closely related field is required. ABDs with areasonable likelihood of degree completion prior to hiring may alsoapply. Duties include teaching in an ABET-accredited program,conducting research, advising majors and serving on a variety ofcommittees.

Required Qualifications:

  • An earned Ph.D in Computer Science or closely related field.ABDs may apply but must have earned degree by start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated record of effective teaching, or evidence ofstrong potential for effective teaching, as demonstrated throughteaching experience, student evaluations (if available), teachingawards, a teaching statement, etc.
  • Evidence of the ability and willingness to teach a variety ofundergraduate Computer Science courses, as demonstrated throughprior teaching experience, graduate coursework, a statement ofteaching interests, etc.
  • Record of scholarly activity demonstrated by publications inrefereed journals and/or peer-reviewed conferenceproceedings.
  • Demonstrated expertise or specialization in one or more of thefollowing areas, as evidenced by education, research, publications,professional experience, or teaching: Artificial Intelligence,Cybersecurity, or Intelligent, Agentic, and Secure Systems.
  • Evidence of the ability and willingness to teach in multipleinstructional modalities (e.g., face-to-face, online, and hybrid)and/or teach graduate-level Computer Science courses, asdemonstrated through prior teaching experience or a statement ofteaching interests.
