We are committed to creating meaningful social, environmental, and economic change in our communities.As an Asset Manager on the Surveillance Team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the credit quality of the GSE multifamily portfolio. You will evaluate property performance, lead proactive risk surveillance, and provide informed recommendations on borrower engagement and asset strategy.
You will collaborate closely with teammates across Asset Management, internal stakeholders, vendors, and borrowers to ensure strong oversight of the portfolio and timely, strategic decision-making.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform surveillance, risk assessment, and ongoing risk management for assigned loans, including reporting results to loan investorsConduct quarterly and annual financial analysis (collect financials, review statements, summarize findings, propose solutions)Manage loans on the internal watch list, including developing quarterly action plans, creating and maintaining monthly watch list comments, and presenting recommendations to senior managementPerform property inspections for multifamily assets in various locationsManage and review third-party inspection reports and make recommendations based on resultsCoordinate annual property inspections with third-party vendors and follow up with borrowers to develop a course of actionMonitor repair, completion, and other special escrows and prepare recommendations for disbursementsDraft and distribute Reservation of Rights letters and implement default remedies as requiredReview and revise compliance of Letters of Credit as necessaryAssist with market research and portfolio-level monitoring initiativesShared Asset Management ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with clients to determine appropriate loan arrangements and provide responsive customer supportMonitor borrower compliance with loan documents and inform management of risks or emerging issuesCollaborate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholdersAssist with data automation and process improvement initiatives within the Asset Management departmentMay manage Credit Facility loans for compliance and process related transactions including collateral changesMay prepare and finalize narratives for partnership interest transfers and post-closing items such as easements, partial releases, condemnations, or management changesTravel as needed for inspections, meetings, or portfolio responsibilitiesPerform other duties as assignedAttendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and FridaysEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, or a related field3+ years of experience in Asset Management requiredDemonstrated knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac servicing guide requirementsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong analytical skills including financial analysis, risk evaluation, and use of MS Office productsExcellent organizational and business writing skillsStrong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and time-sensitive requestsAbility to show ownership of your work, take on challenges, and acknowledge growth opportunitiesCourtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and stakeholdersAbility to travel and operate a motor vehicleThis position has an estimated base salary of $80,000 - $90,000 plus discretionary bonus.
