Asset Management AnalystThe Asset Management Analyst is responsible for administering, analyzing, and monitoring mortgage loan pools across Aspire's whole loan and securitization activities. This position supports the identification and resolution of Early Payment Defaults, evaluates repurchase requests from buyers and sellers, tracks collateral performance, and coordinates operational processes such as servicing transfers and collateral document management. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills, a solid understanding of mortgage servicing processes, and the ability to work collaboratively across Capital Markets, Aspire Management, external servicers, custodians, and loan counterparties.
This role is essential in supporting Redwood's disciplined asset management framework and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of loan-level performance reporting.Responsibilities & DutiesLoan Pool Administration / Asset ManagementEvaluate reports for potential Early Payment DefaultsSeek cure or corrective actions (as applicable)Present Repurchase Requests to Sellers (as applicable)Coordinate receipt of repurchase proceeds, servicing transfer from incumbent servicer and release of collateral documents from CustodianEvaluate Whole Loan Buyer's Repurchase RequestsSeek cure or corrective actions as applicablePresent Repurchase Requests with recommendation to Management (as applicable)Coordinate payment of repurchase proceeds, servicing transfers to incumbent servicer and return of collateral documents to Custodian (as applicable)Present Repurchase Requests with supporting documentation to Seller (as applicable)Coordinate receipt of repurchase proceeds, servicing transfer from incumbent servicer and release of collateral documents from CustodianTrack all repurchase activity centrally and provide regular reporting to managementSecuritization PoolsReview Monthly Servicer Reports for potential Early Payment Defaults or other breachesSeek cure or corrective actions (as applicable)Track collateral performance including delinquencies, defaults, roll ratesPrepare preliminary Executive Summary for Capital Markets DeskAddress Capital Markets Desk questions and requestsPrepare final Executive Summary for Capital Markets DeskAddress Capital Partners questions and requestsRequired Experience & EducationBachelor's degree in finance or businessKnowledge of the correspondent, retail, and wholesale mortgage lending business channels2+ years of servicing or servicing oversight experienceStrong understanding of servicing processes including boarding, collections, loss mitigation, and reportingStrong data analytical skills; technologically savvy with the ability to work in varied systemsAbility to communicate complex situations in a clear, concise mannerAbility to plan, track, and coordinate the gathering, review, and summarization of loan documents and servicing reportsHigh attention to detail and effective problem-solving skillsAnalytical thinking ability, diplomacy, and professionalismProven success with project managementCompensation & BenefitsA reasonable estimate of the total compensation range for this role is $80,000.00 to $85,000.00. The actual salary offer will depend on job-related factors including education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and experience.
