Asset Based Lending Business Development & Preflight UnderwriterZions Bancorporation is accepting applications for our Asset Based Lending Business Development & Preflight Underwriter located in either Salt Lake City, Houston, or Dallas.Zions Bancorporation is seeking an Asset Based Lending Business Development & Preflight Underwriter to join our Asset Based Lending team providing loans secured by working capital assets. Our team partners with clients to deliver customized credit solutions that support growth while mitigating risk. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting ABL operations within a collaborative, client-focused environment.Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:Support the lending unit in the structuring and performs due-diligence, underwriting, legal documentation, closing, analyzing financial data and managing both new and existing complex Asset-Based loans.Review and analyze field exams.Actively participate in new business efforts.Pre-screen new business for appropriateness, structure and offer a key opinion to solicit business.Prepare loan packages for loan approval, including the submission and presentation of underwriting memo for approval.Accountable for appropriate loan documentation, borrowing-base calculation, the loan closing process and internal on-boarding of new customers.Responsible to analyze and accurately document the financial performance of borrowers.Ensure compliance with financial and loan covenants.Manage troubled loans and workout situations.Build and maintain relationships with a resulting high degree of customer satisfaction.Provide advice and counsel to clients regarding trends and conditions of the business environment, capital markets, and general banking trends.Prepare credit analysis in accordance with credit policy for both new and existing loans with a focus on credit policy, identifying risk and mitigates, and appropriate loan ratings.Perform financial projection modeling.Ensure that production and quality of work performed by independent contractors is monitored and meeting service levels.Manage department projects and other duties as needed.Qualifications:4+ years in asset-based lending, underwriting, loan structuring, credit, or portfolio management, field exam, loan documentation, loan workouts, monitoring collateral and credit performance, economic and industry evaluations, or other directly related experience.Strong knowledge of accounting and finance.An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualification.Working knowledge of commercial/corporate loan structures, setting of appropriate loan and financial covenants and industry standard loan documentation.Ability to support the expand client relationships.Strong work ethic.Familiarity with loan processing and closing processes.Solid problem resolution, analysis, communication skills, both verbal and written.Must have solid interpersonal skills.Strong knowledge of software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and financial modeling.Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, banking, or a related field.Benefits:Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance - START DAY ONE!Life and Disability Insurance, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption AssistanceHealth Savings (HSA), Flexible Spending (FSA) and dependent care accountsPaid Training, Paid Time Off (PTO) and 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and any applicable state holidays401(k) plan with company match, Profit Sharing, competitive compensation in line with work experienceMental health benefits including coaching and therapy sessionsTuition Reimbursement for qualifying employees enrolled in an accredited degree program related to the needs of the businessEmployee Ambassador preferred banking products
