Goldman Sachs has operated this business as an integral part of the firm for more than 35 years. AMW Private consists primarily of six main asset management businesses, including Corporate Equity, Growth Equity, Corporate Credit, Infrastructure, Sustainability and Real Estate. Investments are made on behalf of Goldman Sachs, its employees and clients of the firm through a series of investment vehicles and other strategies.Within AWM, the Finance group supports each asset management business through a variety of functions, including managing the valuation process for each AMW Private business (e.g., recommending appropriate quarter-end equity and debt valuations) and analyzing, budgeting and projecting the performance of each business. This position will be within the AWM Finance group assisting in both the monthly / quarterly valuation process and the budgeting process.Position DescriptionThe successful applicant will have an ability to understand financial information, draw relationships and raise issues or concerns. They will have a high degree of integrity, strong attention to detail and be highly motivated and client focused.
They will support more senior team members with a variety of items including a range of recurring tasks, project-based work and ad hoc analyses.ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of real estate valuation methodologies, working knowledge of real estate equityAnalyze rent rolls, financials, commercial leases and other asset level activities used for modelingEnsure that the external models and appraisals are consistent with the valuation methodologiesManage the internal data behind commercial leases, rent rolls and other asset level activity that are used for modelingEnsure that the flow of data underlying all real estate investment level analytics is accurate and correct.Collaborate with internal asset managers, external appraisers and other vendors to facilitate the valuation process of real estate assets.Keep up to date with real estate market trends that influence property valuesStrong academic background.Argus Enterprise experience required/highly recommendedYardi experience preferredStrong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationshipsTeam playerStrong project and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft ExcelAbility to work with automation and analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Databases) a plusExperience with other real estate modelling tools a plus.Able to work under tight time constraintsAble to manage, organize and improve current processesQualifications3+ years of similar experience and a strong academic background.Argus Enterprise experience required/highly recommendedYardi experience preferredStrong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationshipsTeam playerStrong project and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft ExcelAbility to work with automation and analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Databases) a plusExperience with other real estate modelling tools a plus.Able to work under tight time constraintsAble to manage, organize and improve current processesAbout Goldman SachsAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
