Assessment Coordinator
The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for a variety of duties related to the maintenance and processing of patient's admissions, inquiry calls, crisis calls and referrals, conducting the intake process including obtaining pre-certifications with insurance companies, referring patients to community resources, and working with patients so they understand their choices for treatment. The Assessment Coordinator handles inquiry calls for Windmoor Healthcare. The Assessment Coordinator also completes the legal paperwork for admission to Windmoor Healthcare – explaining the admission process to patients and obtaining legal signatures, inputs data into the computer and maintains records to ensure compliance with department policies, as well as with Florida Statutes, Joint and HCFA.
Qualifications: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or other related fields. One (1) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy preferred. Must be able to communicate with members of the multidisciplinary treatment team, managed care representatives, adults and patient families in a clear and concise manner.
