Assembly Worker - West ColumbiaCome create your career with VoltVolt is immediately hiring for Assembly Workers in West Columbia, SC. 1st and 2nd shifts availableWeekly PayClimate ControlledGlobal OrganizationGreat Company CultureAs an Assembly Worker you will:Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.Mounts assembled components to boards or units utilizing torque screwdrivers and other hand toolsMay install multi-level subassemblies and modules into Racks using complex configurations.Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture or other holding device.Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches, to assemblies.Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating and color-coding parts and assemblies.Tends machines that press, shape or wind component parts.Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.Sets up station with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing.Handles/install polarized/non-polarized components on designated location on product.Able to read and understand blueprintsThis is a Full time opportunity.1st and 2nd shifts availableThe ideal Assembly Worker candidate will have:1 year or more of production or assembly experienceUnderstanding of and ability to use a wide variety of tools.Electronic and Mechanical assembly experienceAbility to read and comprehend simple and complex instructionsAbility to operate machinery and computers.Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detailPay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
