Assembly Technician

Assembler TechnicianSchedule: Monday - Friday Shifts: Day Shift: 5:00 am-1:30 pm; Swing Shift: 1:30 pm-10:00 pm Pay Rate: $20.00-$23.00/hr Location: San Jose, CA Experience: At least 2 years of Assembly experienceWe are excited to share a new opportunity for an Assembler Technician located in San Jose! This position is highly sought after and might not be available for long.Assembler Technician Job Duties include:Assemble basic assemblies while meeting established quality standards and cycle time requirements.Inspect and test finished products for defects, discerning the quality of parts and materials used in production.Perform part marking and pack finished products for shipment.Maintain a clean and safe working environment by practicing 6S at all times and complying with safety rules.Keep accurate records of production quantities, time, parts, and tools used in the assembly process.Notify leadership promptly regarding any operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or defective parts.Other duties as assignedAssembler Technician Preferred Skills include:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Ability to be cross-trained in other departments to help with unexpectedly high demand.Flexibility to work in other areas as area focus changes according to business needs.Capability to run or operate a single process or machine with minimum assistance.Ability to commit to a flexible schedule and maintain prompt arrival for scheduled shifts.Willingness to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Must have 1 year of previous work experienceAssembler Technician Requirements may include:Ability to comprehend and follow basic verbal and written instructions/MPIs for assigned tasks.Basic understanding of hand tools, materials (metals, plastics, purchased items), and inspection instruments.Basic understanding of safety and quality best practices related to machines, equipment, and departmental policies.Fundamental proficiency in basic math and basic computer skills.Physical capacity to lift and carry up to 35 lbs and push/pull carts with up to 15 lbs of force for short distances.Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for periods ranging from 15 minutes to 2 hours and wear safety glasses and protective gloves at all times.Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screenMust provide 3 professional referencesBenefits of working with PrideStaff:Medical, Rx, and Wellness BenefitsDental and Vision Plan OptionsShort-term Disability401(k) Retirement PlanHoliday PayPrideStaff Company Overview PrideStaff wants you to Succeed!
