To help us hit ambitious production goals, we are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an integral member of our assembly team, you will work hands-on to assemble, test and install components for our boats.

Your attention to detail, proficiency with tools, and ability to troubleshoot will play a key role in ensuring the high standards of quality and performance that Seasats is known for.Role DetailsYou'll work in our San Diego facilities, collaborating with our mechanical and electrical teams to take components from each department and transform them into complete, high-quality, and reliable products. Day-to-day, you will:Assemble, inspect, test and install mechanical and electrical components for Lightfish (and potentially future products), following detailed technical drawings and assembly instructionsUse a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble systems and sub-systemsMaintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient and safe assembly operationsCollaborate with engineers to identify and solve assembly-related issuesConduct routine inspections and quality control checks to ensure components meet high standardsDocument assembly procedures, test results, and any discrepancies encountered during the assembly processAssist with troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues as they ariseContinuously improve assembly processes to increase efficiency and reduce errorsUtilize a manufacturing execution system to ensure traceability of parts and inventoryAbout YouYou are a proactive and self-motivated individual who thrives in busy environments. You have proven experience in an assembly or mechanical technician role, and you're skilled using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.

Additionally, you have:The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructionsExperience with composites or fine carpentry (preferred but not essential)Basic knowledge of electrical assembly and testing proceduresFamiliarity with quality control procedures and documentationAttention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficientlyExcellent communication and teamwork skillsOrganization and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyAbout SeasatsAt Seasats, we're passionate about delivering maritime robotics solutions to redefine the maritime industry.
