Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician - Mesa, ArizonaDynalectric-Arizona, a specialty contractor serving the electrical construction needs of our community, is stepping into the Fabrication space with the purpose of fabricating select product families entirely in house. We have purchased and are setting up various pieces of CNC equipment for our shop including routers, punches, lasers, press brakes, plate rolls, welders, and automated material storage systems. We are looking for an enthusiastic, technically minded person with Assembly experience and a desire to grow to join our tight-knit team.As an Assembly Technician you will be tasked with the final assembly of our products prior to shipping. Assembly is the last line of defense to catch any defects and is critical to our success.

You will work closely with the other production departments to ensure the quality of our products and point out areas we can improve on. Keeping the assembly Cell running smooth is essential to keeping our internal and external customers happy.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssembling Product:Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot all equipment in the Assembly cellAbility to follow detailed instructions and use various tools for assemblyManage detailed inventory and highlight any issues in the supply chainSelect the correct details for part being assembledSearch out and suggest better methods and tooling for the assembly processManipulating products using lifting devices and automatic equipmentElectronically document/track status of work and finished productQuality Control:Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and print specificationsTest final assembly for proper fit up and functioningCollaboration and Communication:Work closely with fabrication to improve the quality of parts and ease of assemblyWork closely with production control to understand production requirementsCommunicate effectively with team members and managementLearning and Development:Stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies applicable to your equipment and roleStay up to date on new tooling, fixturing and assembly practicesParticipate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skillsMaintenance and Troubleshooting:Perform regular maintenance on equipment in the cellDiagnose and resolve issues with equipment, and coordinate with management as requiredSafety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines of Dynalectric and the equipment fabricationEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsOther Duties:Perform other duties as requiredCross training in other areas to help support production requirementsQualificationsAbility to read and understand assembly instructionsAbility to use multiple different tools and techniques in the assembly processStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to learn and grow with the companyExperience in active fabricating facilitiesAbility to work safely in a fast-paced environmentTechnical literacy in use of computersAbility to follow the policies and practices used in the fabricating industryAbility to set long-term goals, communicate them to others, and pursue them to completionAbility to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goalsMust have valid driver license/insurance and reliable transportationPhysical DemandsAn Assembly Technician is required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentThis is a shop-based job.

Typical working hours may vary but generally, Monday – Friday during normal business hours. When deadlines approach longer hours, including some weekend work, may be required.
